So you’ve treated your Valentine to a glamping getaway at Whispering Springs (which, rest assured, on its own is incredibly romantic). However, if you really want to spoil that special someone, we’ve got a few tips for you. Also, if you’re visiting Whispering Springs to celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary or honeymoon be sure to let us know! It is our goal to make your stay at Whispering Springs as magical as possible and we’ve got a few tricks up our sleeve. Just send us an email after you’ve booked to let us know what occasion you are celebrating. Here are a few ways to make your stay at Whispering Springs even more romantic (than it already is!):

Champagne & Bubble Baths

Each luxury safari tent at Whispering Springs features an ensuite washroom, replete with a soaker tub and organic bath products. We encourage all our guests to partake in a little forest bathing while visiting the Springs. Thirsty? Sit back, relax and order a bottle of champagne to be delivered to your tent as you watch the sun setting over the Canadian countryside. This is camping like never before.

Campfire & Gourmet S’mores

Nothing says love like a box of chocolate, right? Well we beg to differ. There’s nothing quite like snuggling up around the campfire and enjoying the delicious combination of dark chocolate, gooey marshmallows and artisanal graham crackers. Whether you choose to bring your own ingredients to make gourmet s’mores or buy a s’more kit from The Watering Hole, we guarantee it’ll make your Valentine fall in love with you all over again.

Breakfast in Bed

There are few things in life sweeter than breakfast in bed - except maybe breakfast in a king-size bed in the middle of the forest. Our lovingly prepared breakfast baskets will be delivered directly to your tent between 8:30 AM - 9 AM and feature gluten-free homemade granola, Greek yogurt, fresh seasonal yogurt and a scrumptious croissant or fresh muffin baked onsite, milk and juice. Or upgrade to our Champagne Breakfast and treat you and your loved one to mimosas in the morning!

Massage & Yoga

Looking for a unique way to connect with your partner? Our onsite yoga instructor is trained in Acro Yoga. What is Acro Yoga? Think of it as the offspring of acrobatics and yoga, where you and your partner use each other’s weight and energy to achieve unique poses and stretches. Really want to spoil your Valentine? Treat them to a soothing relaxation massage during your glamping getaway. Contact us prior to your arrival to book a massage for your loved one.

This February, Whispering Springs Wilderness Retreat would like to help you with your Valentine’s shopping. Instead of the stereotypical roses and chocolates, give the gift of unforgettable memories with a glamping getaway at Whispering Springs. From nights spent cuddled up around the campfire admiring the night sky to afternoon adventures under the forest canopy, we guarantee that this is an experience you and your Valentine will remember for a lifetime. Gift cards are available on our website and 2020 reservations are open for booking!

This year, we are excited to announce that we will be offering complimentary s’mores to our guests. Join us at The Watering Hole every evening at 6 PM to enjoy some complimentary s’mores around the communal campfire. It’s the perfect time to say ‘hi’ to our friendly bartenders, get to know your fellow glampers and try out a cocktail or two. S’more summer fun is just around the corner!

Looking for an easy and seasonal dessert to whip up on your glamping getaway? Apple crisp is one of our favourite autumnal desserts at the springs and is easy to prepare and cook over the BBQ. Whispering Springs is also located in the heart of apple country, so there are lots of nearby orchards to visit and load up on home-grown and delicious Ontario apples.

Fall is officially here, which means that along with stunning fall foliage and pumpkin spice lattes, we are also privy to chilly mornings and even chillier evenings. While this may not be a problem for the average person, it poses a bit of a challenge for the camper (or glamper) who wants to spend time in the wilderness during autumn. Here a few things we suggest to bring along on your fall glamping getaway!
