Activities

Experience the perfect blend of outdoor adventure, relaxation, and delicious dining at Whispering Springs. Beyond your glamping tent, you can enjoy a wide array of activities and unique amenities designed to immerse yourself in the beautiful Northumberland County wilderness.
Pool and Relaxation
Unwind at the Saltwater Pool & Hot Tub, which overlooks the spring-fed ponds and is nestled in a forest setting. You can also relax in the Cedar Barrel Sauna after a dip in our cold plunge, or spend a languid afternoon at the lodge-inspired Guest Pavilion, outfitted with rustic furniture and offering views of the pool and ponds.
Outdoor Exploration
Explore over 4 km of well-maintained Hiking & Forest Trails that wind through pristine wilderness, including a rare prairie-savannah ecosystem and old-growth Canadian forest. For quiet contemplation, find a seat at the Forest Chapel or simply relax on one of the hammocks scattered throughout the property.
Water Fun
Take a leisurely ride on a row boat or paddle boat around the spring-fed pond and keep an eye out for local wildlife, including Canadian Geese, ducks, turtles and otters. Anglers are encouraged to bring a rod to try and catch some fresh bass or trout to grill on your BBQ. If you're feeling adventurous hop on our paddle boards and give yourself a fun & relaxing workout.
Games and Sports
Enjoy friendly competition at the natural sand dune court with a game of Volleyball & Badminton. The Lawn Games area at the pavilion offers favorites like ladder ball, corn hole, and bocce ball. We also have a selection of board and card games available for use at The Watering Hole Guest Reception & Bar.
The Watering Hole Guest Lounge & Bar
After a day of exploring, head over to The Watering Hole, the central guest bar & lounge, open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM
Food:
Enjoy delicious Wood-Fired Pizzas, prepared locally by The Shop in Warkworth and cooked in our own pizza oven, with options like a classic margherita or pepperoni supreme.
Drinks:
The bar offers a selection of local craft beer, fine spirits, and Prince Edward County wine. Be sure to try one of their signature Craft Cocktails, such as the S'mortini, Cedar Smoked Old-Fashion, Spicy Margarita, Great Canadian Caesar, or a Berry Mojito (often made with ingredients from their own garden).
