Treating that special someone to a romantic glamping getaway at the springs? Here are a few ways to take your glamping getaway up a notch and plan a truly unforgettable wilderness escape with the special someone in your life:

Day of Your Arrival

Romance Care Package

You’ll really knock the socks (or hiking boots) off that special someone with our new Romance Package, which can be purchased prior to your arrival. Our Romance Care Package ($99.00) will be placed in your tent before you arrive and includes a bottle of bubbly, gourmet chocolates & s’more kit and artisanal bath products - everything you’ll need to start your romantic glamping getaway the right way. Email info@whisperingsprings.ca to add a Romance Care Package to your stay or add it to your reservation when booking online.

Romantic Italian Dinner at Villa Conti Winery

Looking for the best Italian meal west of Naples? Just 10 minutes north of Whispering Springs is a hidden gem called Villa Conti Estate Winery. Along with stunning views of their own vineyard and the Northumberland Hills, you’ll be treated to absolutely amazing food and true country hospitality from Bambi and Tomasso. It’s the perfect locale for a romantic dinner with your loved one. Speak to Guest Reception upon your arrival about making reservations or call them in advance at 1-705-924-1829.

Day Two

Yoga & hiking

We suggest you and your partner start your day with an invigorating yoga session at our lodge-inspired pavilion taught by our talented yoga instructor, followed by a relaxing hike through our stunning forest trails. Explore our stunning old-growth forest, unique prairie-savanna ecosystem and breath taking Forest Chapel. Yoga sessions can be reserved online when booking your tent or you can inquire for availability upon check-in.

Prince Edward County Wine Tour

Whispering Springs is located just 40 minutes west of Prince Edward County , which is brimming with amazing wineries, breweries, restaurants and beaches. It’s the perfect place for a romantic afternoon adventure. Stop by The Grange and purchase a picnic basket to enjoy on their grounds with their masterful wine or try some delicious wood-fired pizza and refreshing wine at Three Dog Winery. A few of our other favourite spots include Casa Dea Winery , Sandbanks Provincial Park and The County Cider Company. For dinner, you can’t go wrong with the Drake Devonshire where you’ll enjoy stunning views of Lake Ontario while sampling delicious food and the best cocktails the county has to offer.

Gourmet S’mores around the Campfire

Once you return from your adventure in the county we suggest ending your day with a romantic campfire at your Safari Tent (all of our Safari Tents have their own campfires and are fully stocked with firewood). Purchase a s’mores kit from Guest Reception and enjoy the gooey goodness with your loved one while admiring the unparalleled beauty of the night sky in the wilderness (the Milky Way is a nightly occurrence in this part of the world).

Day of your Departure

The perfect way to end your romantic glamping getaway? A mimosa of course! Order our Champagne Breakfast Basket ($39.99) to be delivered to your tent and enjoy a delicious meal of homemade granola, Greek yogurt, seasonal fruit and a freshly baked good (and a mimosa of course!). Looking for an easy and seasonal dessert to whip up on your glamping getaway? Apple crisp is one of our favourite autumnal desserts at the springs and is easy to prepare and cook over the BBQ. Whispering Springs is also located in the heart of apple country, so there are lots of nearby orchards to visit and load up on home-grown and delicious Ontario apples.

Fall is officially here, which means that along with stunning fall foliage and pumpkin spice lattes, we are also privy to chilly mornings and even chillier evenings. While this may not be a problem for the average person, it poses a bit of a challenge for the camper (or glamper) who wants to spend time in the wilderness during autumn. Here a few things we suggest to bring along on your fall glamping getaway!
