In 2023, something truly special happened at Whispering Springs.
For one unforgettable weekend, our forest chapel, safari tents, saltwater pool, and spring-fed pond became something more than a luxury retreat — they became a safe, welcoming space for families raising children with disabilities.
We called it Camp Moonlight, and it changed us forever.
With your support, we are ready to bring Camp Moonlight back. This May 31, we'll gather our community for "An Evening Under the Moon," a special fundraising event at Whispering Springs that can pave the way for another magical weekend.
A retreat Designed for Families Who Need It Most
Camp Moonlight was created so that families can step away from the demands of daily caregiving and spend quality time together in nature.
No hospital appointments. No therapy schedules. And no explanations required.
Just fresh air, connection, and the freedom to slow down.
During the 2023 weekend, families enjoyed:

Camp Moonlight removed that burden entirely.
Everything was gifted. Every family attended free of charge. And the impact was profound.

The forest held them — and in many ways, it held us too.

Now, Whispering Springs and We Love Joy Foundation are raising funds to host another fully sponsored weekend retreat, welcoming even more families who deserve rest, connection, and the freedom to enjoy nature.
