It has been a whirlwind of a year at Whispering Springs Wilderness Retreat
. From breaking ground in May, to our Grand Opening in August to our first health & wellness retreat this past September, we have experienced many milestone moments over the past few months. This past weekend, we had a bittersweet experience as we said goodbye to our final guests of the season. We would like to thank each and every guest who stepped through our doors. It was our pleasure to introduce you to a new way of experiencing nature and the great outdoors. From late night campfires to afternoon happy hour sessions at The Watering Hole, we feel as though we have made many new and cherished friends over these past 7 weeks, and we hope to see you all again in the future. The support, interest and enthusiasm we have received from our guests and the media has been overwhelming and we feel extremely blessed and thankful.

We would also like to thank each and every person who helped turn what was once a dream into a reality. From the creative and hardworking carpenters at Dayton Group General Contractors
, to our mentor and designer Marijo Cuerrier from Dtour Creative
, to all of our lovely ladies in housekeeping, there are too many names to mention. However, we hope every single person involved in this project knows how grateful we are for their help and support. And to the core team members: Nancy, John, Adina, Chris, Mariah, Dave & Jenna, who have been living and breathing Whispering Springs for the past few months. After weeks of wearing matching uniforms, team meetings in the hot tub, and daily bullet-proof coffee sessions, we are all expecting to experience a little separation anxiety as we say goodbye to each other over the coming weeks.

After saying farewell to our final guests, we are now busy taking down tents (yes, they all come down!) and packing & storing everything away for the winter. Nancy and John will soon be saying au revoir to Canada and taking their hospitality charm to the Exumas, as they begin charter season on their 50 ft. sailboat in The Bahamas. Our talented massage therapist and yoga instructor, Adina, will be furthering her knowledge and expertise as she travels throughout North America and abroad over the winter months. The rest of us will be busy holding down the fort and preparing for the 2018 season at Whispering Springs. With 2018 bookings already rolling in and a number of weddings confirmed, we couldn’t be more excited about what the future has in store. Stay tuned over the winter months for news and announcements about future tents and developments at Whispering Springs Wilderness Retreat – this is only the beginning!
