What’s Growing at the Springs

It’s less than 2 months until our opening weekend and we are busy gearing up for the 2018 season! From perusing antique stores and hiring our housekeeping team, to cutting down lumber and putting the finishing touches on our Forest Chapel, it seems that there are just not enough hours in the day. However, we are excited for all that the 2018 season has in store, including a number of weddings, yoga retreats, corporate events and much more!

Our carpentry crew is busy constructing the new tents for 2018 and we can’t wait to reveal the stunning views and décor. Stay tuned for pictures in the weeks and months to come. Here are a few more things you can look forward to in the 2018 season at Whispering Springs:

Onsite kitchen and additional dining options

As Whispering Springs grows, so too does our menu! This year you’ll be able to order a cast iron pizza to be enjoyed at the Guest Pavilion or delivered to your tent (yes that’s right – tent delivery service!). Stop by The Watering Hole during your stay and sample some Prince Edward County wine, local craft beer & cider or one of our signature cocktails.

Safari Tents

In 2018 we will be expanding from four to ten safari tents. Each one of our tents has a unique theme and décor, as well as stunning views of Whispering Springs and Northumberland County. Visit our Choose Your Tent page to learn more about our upcoming tents or book one today.

We are excited to introduce the newest team members of Whispering Springs, Jezebel and John Bailey, who will be joining us later this month. While we will not be offering trail riding at Whispering Springs this season, feel free to visit our new team members and treat them to a sugar cube or two!

Organic vegetable garden

This year we will be constructing an organic vegetable garden, and planting a wide variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers on the property. You’ll find our homegrown vegetables and herbs at The Watering Hole in specialty drinks and appetizers.

The Forest Chapel

At the end of last season, we began construction on our Forest Chapel and we are excited to complete the final finishing touches this spring. Nestled in our old-growth forest, our Forest Chapel is surrounded by cedars and pines and accentuated with antique windows and doors. It also features a raw wood altar and live-edge pews, with a meandering creek in the vicinity.

Our tents are booking up quickly so don’t delay in reserving your tent today. We look forward to seeing everyone in the 2018 season. Happy glamping!
