Glamping season has officially arrived! However, as we all know, spring weather can be rather fickle, and while it may feel like summer during the day the nights can be quite chilly. It’s important to come properly prepared when vacationing in the wilderness. We have done our very best to remove many of the discomforts of the traditional camping experience, however it is important to keep in mind that you are still vacationing (and sleeping!) in the great outdoors. Here are some spring glamping essentials that we recommend packing for your glamping getaway:
Don’t let a little rain deter you from roaming the beautiful trails at Whispering Springs
! To avoid ruining your new white kicks, be sure to pack a pair of wellies. As Winne the Pooh once said “When life throws you a rainy day, play in the puddles.”
It’s getting to be that time of year again! While we are doing our best to diminish the skeeter population, it’s still a good idea to throw some mosquito repellant in your suitcase or purchase some bug repellant at The Watering Hole.
An umbrella is never a bad idea, particularly in the spring when a downpour can occur at any moment. It’s an easy thing to pack that you will be extremely thankful for if it pours cats and dogs during your glamping vacay.
Fleece & thermals
There’s nothing like being all warm and cozy in your safari tent on a chilly spring eve. Make sure you stay extra toasty and pack a fleece sweater for breezy nights around the campfire and warm thermal underwear (and stay tuned for our very own line of thermal underwear launching later this season!).
Even if it’s sunny and balmy on your day of arrival at Whispering Springs
, it’s still a good idea to pack a rain jacket in case the weather takes a turn for the worse. While it’s hard not to be optimistic on a sunny day, when vacationing outdoors it’s always a good idea to be prepared for the unexpected.
We look forward to welcoming our first guests over the May long weekend and are excited for the start of an amazing season. Happy glamping!
