The green smoothie recipe that rules them all

Our Holistic Nutritionist is sharing his most important piece of advice for those looking to improve their diet and overall health in 2018 (and it’s much easier than you’d think!). What is this little tidbit of nutritional wisdom? According to our onsite Holistic Nutritionist, a seemingly small change in your daily food habits can have a profound effect on your overall health and energy levels. By simply replacing your regular breakfast with an alkaline smoothie every morning you are changing 1/3 of what you eat on a daily basis, and getting a healthy dose of green goodness. Below is our Holistic Nutritionist’s favourite green smoothie recipe and the one he recommends to all his clients. Not only is it insanely healthy, but it is actually quite delicious, and is the ideal first step on the road to a healthier future.

Alkaline Green Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 avocado
  • 1/2 cucumber (peeled)
  • 2 cups of spinach
  • 1 lemon (peeled)
  •  5 mint leaves
  • 1 cup of coconut water
  • 10-15 drops of liquid stevia
  • 6-8 ice cubes

Directions: Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend for 45 seconds or until thick and smooth. Enjoy!
